Summer Denim Trend – part One
Denim and chambray are my all time favourite fabrics to wear in summer. Although denim can be a bit thick for the scorching, read sizzling Karachi summer, brands have made so many breathable versions of the fabric that its perfect for summers.
My current favourites are frayed denims by H&M and a patched denim shirt by Zara.
Generation came out with an absolutely amazing denim collection in 2015. With applique pieces of fabric and embellishments. Taking the maxi trend and turning denim shirts to kurtas was probably the best thing ever.
I also bought myself a kurta that i still love wearing.
This year they relived their very successful denim range, incorporating the international trends of frayed and patched fabrics and shorter tunic-ish hemlines into fusion desi wear.
Chambray is cotton blend and can be part of the denim family. The fabric is easily available in the big cloth bazaars and many designers have used the material in their spring summer collections in amazing ways.
